A one-screen puzzle made for Confounding Calendar 2023.

Controls:

  • Z is undo
  • R is restart
  • WASD or arrow keys for movement
  • ESC exits to the menu
  • M is mute

This game was made in PuzzleScript. The level layout is a riff on the default PuzzleScript project with Microban puzzles originally by David Skinner.

Here is a hint in rot13 which might help with the mechanics (not much of a spoiler): Gur ovt pengrf zbir ba gur ovt tevq.

Slightly bonkers - but I got there in the end. Fun! :)

Absurd and hilarious! Satisfying how the microban 1 layout turns out to be interesting to navigate in this way. Reminds me of Inbox Unbox!

Glad you enjoyed :D

uhhh... yeah to release a future project i have to code it first

I have like 30+levels but idk how to code it into puzzlescript

Btw headlong hunt is so cool :) thanks for 8 hours and counting of enjoyment

oh awesome, glad you’re enjoying the game!

Here’s the basics of Puzzlescript https://www.puzzlescript.net/Documentation/rules101.html, then if you need some help the Thinky Puzzle Games discord is a good place to ask

The problem is that i don’t think my game is possible to implement in puzzlescript.

It’s basically flow free with line intersection, color merging, portals, buttons, and different grids (last feature is planned but i’m not sure if i’m good enough to design a puzzle that works well)

Will check out the discord though! Kind of surprised that i haven’t joined the discord even after playing games like conveyer confusion haha

(+1)

might be possible but quite hard yeah. Sounds like you already have the puzzles designed on paper? Maybe that’s an ok final format

ah, so this is what the game was supposed to be for. oops!
